Terms of Service – Motorcycle & Vehicle Repairs

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all repair, servicing, and related work carried out by Banbury Motorcycles (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking or authorising work with us, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

We provide motorcycle and vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, performance modifications, and related mechanical and electrical work. All services are carried out with reasonable care, skill, and in line with industry standards.

2. Estimates & Quotes

  • Estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time.

  • If additional work is required, we will contact you for authorisation before proceeding.

  • Quotes are valid for [30] days unless otherwise stated.

3. Bookings & Cancellations

  • Appointments must be booked in advance.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least [24/48] hours’ notice.

  • We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee or retain deposits for missed appointments or late cancellations.

4. Deposits & Payments

  • A deposit may be required for certain jobs (e.g., major repairs, special orders, performance modifications).

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept payment by [cash, debit/credit card, bank transfer, etc.].

  • Vehicles will not be released until payment is received in full.

5. Parts & Materials

  • We may use new, refurbished, or OEM-equivalent parts, depending on availability and customer agreement.

  • Any special-order or performance parts must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable once ordered.

  • Replaced parts may be retained by the customer on request, otherwise they will be disposed of.

6. Warranty & Liability

  • We provide a [3/6/12-month] warranty on labour and parts supplied by us, unless stated otherwise.

  • Warranty does not cover:

    • Wear-and-tear items (e.g., tyres, brake pads, chains)

    • Misuse, neglect, or modifications made after the repair

    • Work carried out using customer-supplied parts

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair/service carried out. We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of use, travel expenses, or business interruption.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure vehicles are roadworthy and insured before and after repairs.

  • Any belongings left in the vehicle are at the owner’s risk. We do not accept liability for loss or damage to personal property.

  • Customers are responsible for checking work carried out and reporting any issues promptly.

8. Storage & Collection

  • Vehicles must be collected within [3] days of notification that work is complete, unless otherwise agreed.

  • We reserve the right to charge a daily storage fee after this period.

9. MOT Preparation & Legal Compliance

  • Where we prepare vehicles for MOT, we cannot guarantee a pass unless all recommended work is completed.

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring their vehicle remains road legal after collection.

10. Termination of Work

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:

  • Safety concerns arise

  • The customer fails to authorise required work

  • Payment terms are breached

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
